Ah yes, Football Season is upon us! And am I excited my favorite time of the year! Time to root on the Cards and our boys from ASU! Might I also mention that the perfect way to start your Saturday or Sunday Football Weekend’s this fall is with Chompies. Whether you choose to dine in before, after, or during the games, Chompies will be broadcasting all Cardinal and Sun Devil games (when available) live!(and of course smoke free). So have an awesome Corned Beef Rueben(that’s my favorite) with some half sour pickles and cole slaw and root on the Cards. Or maybe you want some great appetizers like Creamy Spinach artichoke dip and Awesome crispy onion strings with a ice cold Brewsky while rooting on the Sun Devils. You know both Teams have brand new coaches this year Ken Whisenhunt for the Cards and Dennis Erickson for the Devils. So it’s a fresh start for both Teams. It should be a great season. Did I also mention What I great Place Chompies was to take out from before the game. Are you one of those Direct TV NFL Sunday Ticket Holders and need to see every play? I certainly am. Then before the games start head on down to one of your favorite Chompies locations whether in Tempe, Scottsdale, or Phoenix and get all or your goodies to go. Fresh Hot Bagels, Homemade Cream Cheese Spreads, Gourmet Smoked Fish, such as Hand Sliced Nova Scotia Lox, and Fresh Baked Pastries and Cookies. Need more, how bout some fresh cooked Corned Beef, Pastrami, Braised Brisket of Beef, Potato Knishes, Homemade Salads, House-Baked Breads and so much more. Trust Me “you won’t be dissapointed. And you won’t go away hungry. I promise“. Re:—Planning a Football Party or Superbowl Party “Chompies does Awesome Subs and Killer Giant Bagel Trays. 480-348-CATR.

As owners of Chompies for the last 29 years we are still beloved Yankee fans at heart as you can see by the murals on the walls of Chompies. Phil Ruzzuto was somebody me and my brother Mark Borenstein grew up with, watching Yankee telecasts at our home in Queens, New York. Phil was apart of our lives as much as the Yankees were. His “Holy Cow” screams and home run calls were very memorable to us as kids growing up in New York City. He will sorely be missed by all of the Owners and be remembered as a truly great Yankee and a truly great Broadcaster. We love you Phil Rizzuto!
Have you ever eaten a Sandwich at Chompies? If you haven’t, then you have not played on Game Day!
We’ve all heard of the book “The Road Less Traveled” written by M Scott Peck, quite a few years ago. And with all the construction on Shea Blvd that went on from February thru July that’s exactly what Shea Blvd. between the 101 Freeway and 96th Street became. Well, Neal the Owner of Chompies is happy to report that Shea Blvd is 100% fully back in business. And might I add incredibly improved. So cruise Shea and stop by Chompies and see what I’m talking about. The traffic flow will get you to Chompies in a hurry. I promise.
