It’s easy to make your wish come true…just dine at Chompie’s! We make New York style knishes fresh-from-scratch using authentic Borenstein family recipes passed on through generations, so you can taste the love and love the taste!

New to Knish? The knish originally came to America when hundreds of thousands of Eastern European Jewish immigrants settled in New York in the early 1900’s, bringing their recipes for this savory “portable pie” with them. (Lucky for us!) Chompie’s Knish is a mouthwatering fluffy puff pastry, baked golden brown and stuffed with your choice of filling–vegetable, meat, potato or Coney Island style.

It’s the ULTIMATE comfort food and is great as a starter, side or snack. You can also conveniently get them to-go from our deli counter. What are you waiting for? Stop by and make your knish wish come true today!

Be sure to try “The Knish Dish” too! (a Chompie’s original)
Split homemade potato knish topped with our mouthwatering corned beef, grilled sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese. Served with coleslaw.

Check out Sandy Wasserman’s (Scottsdale Burger Examiner at examiner.com) review of Chompie’s Old Fashioned Borenstein Burger!

“Deli’s are not usually known for their burgers, but for their mounds of pastrami, corned beef & other Jewish deilcacy’s. That is unless you’re a deli owner from New York where if it’s not a deli, it’s probably a diner you’d be eating at. If you’re the Borenstein family, owners of Chompie’s & transplants from Queens N.Y. you’ve probably had you’re fill of charbroiled burgers and know how to make them”…Click here to read full review
