If it’s fall, it’s chili weather. Chompie’s was featured as 1 of 11 Valley spots for hearty comfort in a bowl. Chompie’s protein-packed vegetarian chili ($7.99) fills you up with pinto beans, crushed tomatoes, green peppers, and cilantro. Jalapenos bring some heat while cumin and chili powder add smokiness.

Taste Tidbits: Foodie News Roundup for the Week of Oct. 16
Chompie’s is getting in on the holiday action. At the bakery, you can find creepy-cute dessert creations including sugar cookies in the shape of Halloween classics including skeletons, monsters, pumpkins, bats, eyeballs and more ($1.99 each).

The bakery is also offering vanilla cupcakes with colorful frosting in the shape of witch hats, spiders, ghosts and pumpkins ($3.75 each) in honor of Halloween.

A Justin Alexander Bride for a Desert-Chic Jewish Wedding at Chateau Lux, Phoenix, Arizona, USA
Chompie’s created the wedding cake – a 16″ bottom pink velvet cake with cream cheese filling and white buttercream frosting. The middle was a 14″ yellow cake with fudge filling, and white buttercream frosting and the top was 8″ with the pink velvet and cream cheese again.

Chompie’s also created mini desserts: carrot cakes, cannolis, chocolate box cakes, napoleons, fruit tarts, crème brulée, rainbows, chocolate-covered strawberries and chocolate s’mores, delicious cookies, and ‘bride & groom’ cactus cookies that were on each guest’s plate to take home.

Dining for Breast Cancer Awareness
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, these Valley eateries are donating to Singleton Moms, a local organization dedicated to providing hope and support to single-parent families affected by cancer through financial assistance, groceries, supplies and support groups.

All of October, Chompie’s will donate one dollar from each entrée ordered on their new, special three-item menu to Singleton Moms.
